There is noting that remains eternally in this world.
Therefore, in 5,000 years of future, people may argue that
"It's the ancient characters!"
"No! It's just someone prepared to spoof us!"
in front of some stone monuments.

Have you ever read a poem by the English writer (he lived in the 1800's) John Keats called Ozymandias (I think that's how it is spelled)? It has the same theme as your posting.
What a bad ex literature major I am, Saku. I was browsing a poetry anthology today, and came on Ozmandias, and realized that it is by Percy Bysshe Shelley. I blush. Shelley is the same period; and wrote a poem on John Keat's death (it's very long and called Adonais).
