While I'm reading a text book, I feel so sleepy, but when I go to bed, I am wide awake.
Why isn't this the opposite?

I'm a Japanese student trying to improve my writing skills in English. So if you have time, please correct my English. It'll greatly help my writing. Oh, you can write your comments without correcting my English, but please don't use the space for advertising...

This is an interesting question, isn't it? I always read before falling asleep, to sort of relax my mind a little, but seldom textbooks.
A more informal way of saying you are "awakened" when you go to bed (in contrast to when you are reading your textbooks) might be "I am wide awake".
