Improving

My thinking language is still Japanese.
But when I think about a topic and contents of this blog, I sometimes think in English. It's an improvement. When I know that I improved, I feel great joy. One of the great joy that I still remember in learning English is this.
There was a poster advertising of private English school near my house. In that ad, one native English speaker(a woman) is asking, "Can you speak English?" then a Japanese man is answering, "Yes, I can." Although I've seen that ad so many times, I've never understood what they are talking. But one day, little after I learned "can" in middle school,I unconsciously look at the ad and I suddenly understood that simple conversation. Before that, the advertising poster never had a meaning to me. But suddenly it became a meaningful ad.
This experiment is one of the most strongest memory about English improving.
Improving is fun.

I like your thought process and the way you express things. I just read the front page of your blog and since you invited your English to be corrected I almost did a few times but then thought better of it. I think it should be your own journey.

I also use too much American slang to have any business correcting you. I know I don't format my written or spoken word into proper English so I'll leave that to others that are better at it. I make too mistakes myself and English is my first language!
