There are good news and bad news.
Usually mass-media broad lots of bad news and hardly any good news. This tendency is probably common to all over the world. There is even saying, " Ill news flies apace."
But why people want to hear bad news than good news?
Bad news certainly don't make people happy, it always make people sad or angry. And bad news certainly don't create happiness either. Happiness is born from a happy heart. So, if someone takes some action to resolve a problem after hearing a bad news is normally a happy person. Because he is happy, he has the room to think about giving and spreading happiness to the person or the people. In this case, the happiness after the sad news is actually born from the person's happy heart. But this case is not usual. Normally, people who tends to hear bad news are not quite happy and they heard lots of bad news like a bomb, and get the idea for the world as sad, hopeless, and filled with inconsistency.
But even people hate to be in sadness and anger, we tend to give more attention to bad news. Why?
I've got one answer; "Because we want to be happy, we pay more attention for bad news."
This seems inconsistent, but here is the logic.
When we heard a bad news, we feel sadness or anger, but at the same time, we unconsciously feel superiority by watching the people on TV, and the superiority gives us the feeling of plastic happiness.
This comparison is totally different from the one from yesterday's blog. When people start to regain pure energy by comparison, it was actually by these kind of thoughts, "The person's fate looks more severe than mine, but he/she is still trying to overcome it. ...Think back about me, I've never done such effort, even my problem has never been heavier than him/her." The person's mind is filled with respect, but the minds of the people in front of TV, newspapers, magazines usually lack this respect. They instead filled with ego.
This is why the unconscious feeling of happiness obtained by bad news is fake. But, although it can never be a real one, our unconscious desire to be in happy keep promoting to hear bad news.
