The Arrow

I need to concentrate on the 'reality' in front of me.
Then, I shoot an arrow.

Without focusing, the arrow won't hit the target.

"I wing an arrow" sounds very poetic, and isn't really wrong (more usually we'd say "I shoot an arrow"...but I like the poetry). I think I read something about Zen and archery however, and the focus--was--well, a different thing. I think one was supposed to become one with the target and the arrow and all.
I'm not very good at archery at all.

OK, I changed to a common expression.
I need to learn more about this kind of difference.
(I know that it's a hard thing to do, though.)
