I hope it was a good visit in many ways, Saku. I just read an old letter of my grandmother's, written when she was a young woman, in which she is excited at going home for a holiday. She says she had sent her mother a list of favorite foods!
(These letters are interesting--they were ones my grandparents wrote to one another in the months before they were married. Very long ago, in 1922.)
The letters of your grandparents! That must be really really interesting.
I wish I also have such things of my grandparents.
They are interesting. What is odd is that I didn't know they'd been saved all these years--one of my uncles had them, and sent them to my youngest brother. He has been scanning them into the computer and sending them to me, one at a time.
Maybe someday something of your grandparent's will be found as well. I hope so!
